摘要 

《浮生六记》是我国文学史上一部优秀的古典小说，极具中国传统文化特色，涉及其微观领域的研究很少，尤其是修辞方面的研究，而修辞表达是加强言辞或文句效果的艺术手段，能够很好地体现文章风格，讲究内容和形式的统一。因此，对《浮生六记》中修辞英译的研究颇具价值，加之功能对等理论同时注重原语核心内容的传递和原文风格的再现，对文学作品的翻译有很好的指导作用。

故本文以功能对等视角下《浮生六记》中的修辞作为主要研究对象，探讨的主要问题便是在功能对等理论指导下，适用于大部分中国典籍修辞的英译策略究竟是什么？本文运用功能对等理论通过举例分析《浮生六记》林语堂英译版本中几种主要修辞表达（隐喻、排比、典故、借代）的翻译，总结归纳林语堂的主要翻译策略。在此基础上，找到适用于大部分中国典籍修辞的英译策略，推动《浮生六记》微观领域研究，修辞英译，中国修辞文化和典籍的发展，促进中国文化的传播和世界文化的交流。

研究发现，林语堂在对《浮生六记》中隐喻、排比、典故、借代这些修辞英译时，采用了直译（异化下），意译，省略，替代，增译（这四种都属于归化）等翻译方法，翻译策略以归化为主，异化为辅。翻译典籍时，归化和异化翻译策略的结合可以有效帮助译者兼顾译语文化和原语文化，使汉语的修辞文化在古籍的翻译过程中得以有效传播，让外国读者更好地接纳并理解中国文化。建议译者今后在翻译典籍过程中应更多采纳异化，保留中国传统文化特色，让外国读者接触到真正的中国文化。
