An Analysis of Female Language Features in Jane Eyre_英语论文

摘要

本文以《简爱》为例，分析女性语言的特点。《简爱》是女性主义文学的代表和典范，女主人公简爱有很强烈的独立意识，她向往自由和平等，从反抗意识萌芽到坚定，这个过程十分曲折。这对于传统的女性观念来说，是不易被人接受的。男女之间的语言差异特别明显，女性的语言可以反映出当时的社会背景以及女性在社会中所处的地位。本文借助Robin Lakoff的女性语言理论，分析女性语言特点形成的原因，随着社会的发展，时代的变迁，女性的社会地位得以提高，性别歧视现象得到明显改善。

Abstract

Taking Jane Eyre as an example, this paper analyzes the characteristics of female language. Jane Eyre has been the representative and model of feminist literature since it was published. Strong sense of independence, freedom and equality of the heroine has been the break of traditional philosophy of women. But Jane Eyre’s rebellious character experiences a long tortuous period. The differences of languages between men and women are quite obvious, and the female language reflects the social background and woman's status in that society. This paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of features of female language with Lakoff's theory of female language. With the development of the society and the changes of the times, the social status of women has been improved, and the phenomenon of gender discrimination has been improved significantly.
