Elizabeth I(2): The Golden Age Analyzed From the Perspective of Intertextuality_英语论文

Abstract
In the 1930s, Bakhtin proposed that the core concepts such as “polyphony” and “dialogism” have had a direct impact on the formation of intertextuality theory and have laid the foundation for the essence of the theory. The term “intertextuality” is proposed by Julia Kristeva, a post-structuralist critics of France which has been highly concerned by scholars at home and abroad since the 1970s. Intertextuality as an important concept of criticism, then become postmodern, post-structural criticism of the terminology, the study of intertextuality theory for text analysis and appreciation of an important guiding significance. Intertextuality theory can be divided into general intertextuality and narrow intertextuality, positive intertextuality and negative intertextuality, macroscopic intertextuality and microinterlanguage.
This paper analyzes the film Elizabeth: The Golden Age with the theory of intertextuality, discusses the fidelity of the novel text to the text of the film and television, and finds that the adaptation of the literary film and television is influenced by political, psychological and aesthetic factors. On the one hand adaption of film in to meet the market demand, on the other hand is the use of artistic means to express the feelings of the audience.
