Research on the Translation of Science Fiction Movies ---- Case Study of Star Trek_英语论文

摘要

近年来，电影产业获得了巨大的发展，迎来了大繁荣时代。尤其是科幻电影备受人们喜爱。然而科幻电影的翻译质量却饱受争议，本论文通过对《星际迷航》系列电影的分析，对科幻电影翻译的特点，翻译策略等方面进行了研究。

首先，通过回顾了他人对科幻电影翻译的研究，确定研究的可行性和创新点。再次，介绍本文理论框架，即奈达的动态对等理论和Gottlieb关于影视翻译的“多模态翻译”概念。最后通过对素材的观察，总结不同译者在翻译《星际迷航》在词汇层面和句子层面采用的一些普遍策略。

Abstract

Nowadays, film industry gets a huge development and steps into a flourishing period. The most popular genre is science fiction movie. This paper, on the premise of referring the formers’ studying, researches the subtitle features and translation strategies in Star Trek.

Firstly, by reviewing the researches about science fiction movie translation of others, the feasibility and innovation point of this paper are confirmed. The second part is the theoretical framework of this paper: Dynamic Equivalence theory by Nida and Multi-dimensional translation conception by Gottlieb. At last, through the observation of materials, this paper concluded some common translation strategies on the level of words and sentences.
