摘要

当代著名的英国作家伊恩·麦克尤恩的力作《赎罪》，描述了一个颇具才华的少女布里奥妮因年少时的一个错误致使姐姐塞西莉娅和其情人罗比从此分离，此后逐渐意识到自己的罪行并在忏悔与赎罪中度过余生的故事。本文将运用埃里克森人格发展理论，对主人公布里奥妮性格的动态发展进行研究。最终，通过分析可以发现布里奥妮从婴儿期到成年后期的性格发展是一个逐渐摆脱人性弱点，背负着负疚感走上赎罪之路，最终建立起健全人格的动态过程。
