An Analysis of Woman Images as ‘the Other’ in the Old Testament_英语论文

摘要

《圣经》作为宗教经典，不仅流传广泛，更是被誉为研究希伯来民族最有效最直接的材料。《圣经》中记录了各式男性的活动，但是女性在《圣经》中出现的比例仅占总数的百分之五，更多是被作为“他者”出现在《圣经》中。

本文运用西蒙.德.波伏娃的女性存在主义的“他人”理论和现有的资料对《圣经旧约》中的女性形象进行分析。全文由三章构成，第一章主要分析《圣经》中女性的形象，以女性的生存状况和下场为例表现出女性作为男性笔下的“他者”的地位。第二章总结出女性在《圣经旧约》中的地位和形象，运用存在主义的“他者”理论表明这种认知的不合理和不可取之处。第三章侧重从其他方面来肯定女性的价值和地位。力图让那些被边缘化或者被诅咒的女性得到应有的社会地位。

本文对于《圣经旧约》中女性形象的分析，力图对女性形象和地位有更进一步的认识，帮助女性更加认识自己，更加深远的了解自己的价值。

Abstract

Holy Bible as a religious classics, not only widely spread, but also is known as the study of the Hebrew people. The Bible records all kinds of male activities, but women in the Bible in the proportion is about only five percent of the total, and more is as "the other" in the Bible.

This paper analyzes the feminine image of the Old Testament by using the theory of "the other" and available information of the female existentialism of Simon de Beauvoir. Chapter 1 mainly analyzes the image of women in the Bible, and shows the status of women as “the other". Chapter 2 summarizes the status and images of women in the Old Testament, and uses the doctrine of "existentialism” to show the irrationality of this cognition. Chapter 3 focuses on affirming the value and status of women from other aspects. Trying to make those who are marginalized or cursed women get their social status.

In this paper, the analysis of the female image in the Old Testament try to have a better understanding of the female image and social status, to help women aware of their own and more far-reaching understanding of their own value.
