摘要 

肯·福莱特是威尔士伟大的作家之一，因其擅长惊险小说和历史小说创作而声名远扬。在他众多的作品中，最具代表性的战争题材小说当属“世纪三部曲”，即《巨人的陨落》，《世界的凛冬》和《永恒的边缘》。2010年出版的小说《巨人的陨落》是肯·福莱特相对近期创作的作品。尽管国外许多专家学者对这部小说进行了解读，但是几乎没有人从人本主义心理学角度对其进行分析。因此，本文将运用马斯洛需求层次理论对比分析生活在不同生活阶层的主人公们。通过运用马斯洛的需求层次理论,我们能够了解现代社会中的人在生理需要和安全需要、归属和爱的需要、尊重需要、自我实现需要方面得不到满足的深层次原因，这也有助于我们创建一个富强民主文明和谐的社会。
