摘要 

英国著名作家多丽丝·莱辛被誉为继伍尔夫之后又一位伟大的女性作家，其长篇小说《天黑前的夏天》一出版就在国外引起了广泛关注，既有赞赏也有批评。目前对这本书的相关研究主要集中于叙事策略和心理学角度，从生态女性主义角度出发的研究较少。本论文运用生态女性主义理论，从凯特、男性、自然三者之间的关系分析这部作品，从而体现出主人公凯特的形象，通过凯特的亲身经历为同样受到男性压迫的女性群体指明一条正确的道路。

本文首先通过水、动植物等自然界生物同凯特的联系突出两者之间的亲密关系和保护关系，其次分析了在父权制和男性中心主义的影响下，凯特受压迫的生活以及凯特在旅途后的成长。本文通过阐述《天黑前的夏天》中蕴含的生态女性主义思想，分析小说中凯特与自然、男性的关系，突出了凯特突破婚姻和家庭的束缚、实现自我解脱的过程。女性只有实现自身经济独立，摆脱对男性的依赖，才能争取到在家庭中的话语权，走出人生低谷，做自己命运的主宰者。
