摘要

随着中国和其他国家之间的跨文化沟通变得频繁深入，越来越多的外国客商纷纷涌入中国。因此，商务英语作为信息和接收者之间的桥梁，变得越来越重要。基于以上认识，本文主旨是要探讨如何在功能对等理论下对商务英语的翻译提出有效的策略和技巧。之中，最受中国翻译研究者推崇的西方翻译理论之一的应是奈达的功能对等翻译理论。他将“形式对等”和“功能对等”进行了区分，而且引导翻译者把翻译的重心从原文与译文之间的联系上转移到读者与译文之间的联系上，衡量译文的标准应是读者的反应。该文的具体步骤是：首先阐述奈达的功能对等翻译理论，再把商务英语分类，然后试着去剖析商务英语的语义特点和文体特点。最终，通过把“功能对等”理论应用到现实案例的方式，深入探究“功能对等”理论所遵从的原则和其指导意义。
