摘要

我国加入WTO之后，全球经济正在向无国界经济的趋势发展，商务函电在国际贸易合作和商务洽谈中的作用日益凸显。本文首先对商务函电的概念与特点作简单介绍，导出其在对外贸易中的功能与优越性，最后再具体说明商务英语函电在对外贸易中的作用。它不仅显著地改变传统贸易方式，同时大大增加了贸易机会，降低成本，提高效率。它使得双方的有效信息能够及时快速地传递到对方手中，能为国际贸易沟通建立桥梁并给国内的企业带来大量贸易合作的机会。所以，商务英语函电在经济全球化和全世界信息化过程中发展快速，而且自身的发展也推动了对外贸易的发展。
