浪漫主义文学是英国文学史上至关重要的一个历史时期，它独特的时代特征与文学特征对英国文学史的发展产生了重要影响。婚姻观是浪漫主义时期英国女性的核心价值观之一。英国小说家简·奥斯汀的小说《傲慢与偏见》,是一部值得深入研究思考的现实主义文学名著。它促进了英国中产阶级女性意识的觉醒，对当代女性婚姻价值观念和择偶观具有一定的影响。作者简·奥斯汀以其女性作家的独特身份和视角，向读者们介绍了英国十八、十九世纪的社会环境和主流价值观，同时也反映了这一时期英国社会对女性婚恋问题的态度。通过对《傲慢与偏见》中英国浪漫主义时期女性婚姻观的比较，可以一窥英国女性价值观的端倪。而作品中描述的婚姻观虽然发生在十八、十九世纪，但对当代女性的婚姻观仍具有重要启示和指导意义。
