摘要
随着我国高等教育国际化步伐加快,大学校训英译的对外宣传作用逐渐为人们所重视。在此背景下,许多高校选择通过校训翻译正面宣传其办学理念、特色乃至我国传统文化的精粹,以吸引更多的国际生源。本研究以国内部分典型高校校训的英译文本为研究对象,从功能对等理论视角探究中国高校不同类型校训在翻译时实现功能对等的主要途径。本研究的意义在于为国内校训的翻译提供类型参照。这些类型及其实现功能对等的主要途径的参照,将有助于译员在翻译校训时找到适合目标读者认知环境的表达。
