摘要 

连贯性研究是语篇研究中极其重要的研究领域，是其最基本的研究内容。英语新闻语篇作为特殊的语篇类型在连贯方式上有其自身的语言特点。本文主要从韩礼德衔接理论框架对英语新闻语篇连贯性进行研究，从而更深入地掌握和了解新闻语篇中的信息和事实。衔接主要强调外在段落的结合，连贯强调内在意义的一致性。本文通过区分衔接与连贯，分析新闻语篇的特点，探讨出实现新闻语篇连贯性的手段及其限制因素，从而实现新闻语篇的主要功能。
