A Corpus-driven Study on the Usage of Adverbs in the English Versions of Chinese Novels_英语论文

摘要

在过去的几十年里，语料库因其强大的客观性与系统性被广泛运用于多个研究领域。为了让汉语小说更好地走出去，国内诸多学者也采用语料库的研究方法，通过客观的数据呈现来对比分析不同的汉语小说的英译本，从而探讨出更能为广大外国读者接受的翻译形式。而在译本对比当中，词汇占据着重要的分量。但在过去的研究当中，大多数学者都将重点放在动词、名词以及形容词上，对副词的研究较少或仅对副词与其他词类的特殊搭配进行研究。本文将以副词作为研究对象，对副词进行整体分类，并选取两部经典的汉语小说——《红楼梦》与《聊斋志异》及各自的英译本建立语料库，采用语料库的研究方法，分析母语译者与非母语译者在副词使用上的差异，总结出以英语为母语者在副词使用上的特点，进而探讨出更符合英语读者的表达习惯。
