摘要

电影作为传播文化的媒介，已经走进了我们的公共生活并深受大众的喜爱。英语电影逐渐成为我们了解英语国家风俗文化的重要渠道。电影字幕翻译越来越受到社会的关注，这也对译者的综合素质提出了更高的要求。本文以《小丑》为例，从目的论的角度，指出并分析译者在电影中运用到的翻译策略并用以探讨如何运用不同的翻译策略来实现更好的电影字幕翻译。
