摘要

在日益广泛的跨文化交际活动中，不同国家的交际双方往往会感受到强烈的文化冲突。然而无论是交际习惯还是行为准则，都要受到自身文化价值观的制约和束缚。因此，认识不同国家文化价值观的差异，是弄清各种语言、社会和文化差异的必要前提，也最终会为跨文化交际奠定沟通的基础。

本论文着重于中美文化价值观的集体主义和个人主义观念，以及对跨文化交际的影响。使用的主要论证方法是文献法和比较对比法。首先，由于全球化进程的影响，个人主义和集体主义价值观在中美之间的交流中经历了很多的变化。然而，由于两国人民长期以来一直受本国历史文化的熏陶，这种变化并不是根本性的，主流依旧是差异。其次，在跨文化交际中，由于文化，价值观和语言交际之间不可分割的关系，双方的语言和交际意图自然地反映出差异。而由于缺乏对彼此价值观的理解，交际双方不能正确地理解彼此的语义和交际意图，导致交际双方的困惑，误解，语用失误以及其他的负面影响。
