摘要

在我们的日常生活中，称赞语在日常交流中扮演着极其重要的角色。它能够反映出人们不同的文化价值观。不同文化背景下，人们对于称赞语的使用的方式大不相同。两种文化间存在的各方差异都会使得交往的双方彼此产生误解。因此，在跨文化交际的过程中，适当的使用称赞语能够使得两方良好交流，从而有利于建立良好的人际关系，加固双方友谊。进一步的促进谈话者双方间的情感交流，使得交际顺利，交往和谐。因此，交流可以变得更加顺畅。

不同的文化背景导致人们对于礼貌的评价标准各不相同。因此在交往过程中切忌生搬硬套，不能强行利用一种文化背景去衡量另一种文化背景下的人们的言语行为是否得体。这是非常不礼貌的行为。

本文以跨文化交际学作为大的研究背景，以言语行为理论以及礼貌原则作为主要理论出发点，以汉英称赞语作为主要研究对象，利用对比研究的方法，通过分析大量案例，具体分析汉英称赞语在各方面所存在的差异，这种差异包括接受，拒绝，亦或是保持沉默。并且将研究结果应用于日常翻译研究工作中，以减少和避免跨文化交际时所存在的误解。
