摘要

作为世界背景下后殖民文化研究的重要主题，文化认同普遍受到国内和华裔文化研究的关注。文化身份认同是对所属群体的一种认同感和归属感。它是一个人自我概念和自我认知的一部分。与国籍、种族、宗教、社会阶层或者任何一种有自己独特文化的社会群体有关。文化身份认同不仅仅个人的特征，也是在文化上相同的群体成员共同组成的文化身份认同。特别是对移民和华裔来说，中西两种不同民族文化的交汇，冲击所带来的困扰是他们不能回避的问题。他们需要面对文化身份认同和自我定位的危机。

  本文从后殖民主义的角度来解读喜福会中的边缘女性的地位和身份危机，并使用了“他者”理论。著名华裔作家谭恩美对文化身份认同的探索反映了移民家庭中特有而普遍的文化现象，也鼓舞了人们从不同的文化背景中思考美国的多元文化是如何相互交流共存的。为了展示华裔移民是如何在这么一个以白人文化为主导多种文化并存的美国社会中面对两种不同的文化冲突以及如何继承优秀中华文化传统，吸收美国文化的精华来建构属于自己的文化身份认同。通过研究，研究者得出这样的结论，文化身份认同是由两种文化的对话和探讨构成的，通过对话和探讨，两种文化能合并成一种新的文化主体。
