摘要

在日常生活中，出于各种原因，人们经常会缺乏有效的沟通。由于人们的表达习惯或表达目的不同，信息交换不对等的情况常常会出现在日常对话之中。电影《大梦想家》里的主人公个性尖酸刻薄，电影中含有大量讽刺和言外之意的台词，其会话含义十分值得推敲，是很好的研究语料。为更好地把握《大梦想家》中人物的复杂性格特征，更深入了解影片中一些意味深长的台词，剖析其“言外之意”、“弦外之音”，进而更好地理解影片的主旨和它想向公众传达的信息，基于Grice的合作原则和Leech的礼貌原则，本文将选出电影中的对话作为例子，研究影片中的人物对话台词并分析出其中的会话含义。一方面合作原则和礼貌原则的在对话中的重要作用能够得到体现，为人们日常对话的应用提供借鉴，另一方面文中对电影中会话含义的研究也能帮助观众更深入了解电影中人物的性格和电影主旨，为英语爱好者和学习者提供学习语言和西方文化欣赏的新视角。
