Cross- Cultural Analysis on the English Translation of Chinese Menu_英语论文
摘要
随着全球化的推进,中国国际地位和综合国力大大提高,文化的影响力也更加强势尤其是餐饮文化。中餐已经走向世界,备受国内外关注,因而菜名的翻译也显得日益重要。
本文从跨文化视角研究了中餐菜谱的英译,探讨了直译、直译加注、意译、音译四种翻译方法。直译法用于翻译体现菜肴主要成分的菜名、表明烹饪方法的菜名、以及强调食物形状的菜名;直译加注用于翻译包含人名和传奇典故的菜名;最后还举出意译法和音译法所适用的菜名翻译例子。做好中餐菜谱的英译工作在中西文化交流中起着日益重要的作用,有助于传播中国的饮食文化,促进跨文化交流。
