摘要

翻译美学对翻译过程具有重要意义，不论是诗词或者其他形式的翻译都开始重视翻译美学的地位。为探讨翻译美学在宋词《水调歌头·明月几时有》英译本中的应用与体现，本文以林语堂与许渊冲两位翻译家的英译本为研究对象，从翻译美学视角下着重对比分析两个英译本中“意”、“音”、“形”三方面的表征，进而，通过分析译者主体性以及译者对苏轼的形象建构揭示译本差异与译者主体的密切关系。研究表明，许渊冲译本“意美”独具特色，为读者提供更多的想象空间，意蕴无穷；而林语堂译本中“音”与“形”严格参照原诗，与原诗环环相扣，在音美、形美方面更加引人入胜。基于此，本文突出强调翻译美学在中国古诗词翻译中应有的重要地位，以期对今后宋词的英译工作有一定的助力作用。
