摘要

由于文化背景、生活环境及语言使用习惯等方面的不同，不同国家的人很难理解彼此的文学作品。作品需要被翻译才能够让不同国家、不同地区的人相互理解和欣赏。近年来，随着文化和经济全球化，越来越多中国电影进入国际舞台，字幕翻译也变得越来越重要。高质量的字幕翻译可以使观众更投入，并且更享受这部电影。虽然中国电影的字幕翻译与过去相比取得了很大的进步，但字幕翻译理论还不够成熟和系统。本文通过研究国产电影《少林足球》这个案例，来探索影片常用的一些字幕翻译策略以及功能对等这一理论在电影字幕翻译中的指导作用，以期为国产电影字幕的英译提出借鉴。
