摘要

四字格词语是汉语中独有的一种语言形式，具有“结构规整、音韵和谐、言简意赅”等特点，在汉语表达中使用频率较高，在国家领导人的发言中也十分常见。但由于中西方拥有不同的思维模式和审美心理，英语中没有与之对应的语言形式，四字格词语的英译一直是翻译中的一个难点。本文选取2015-2019年总理记者会的交传实例作为材料，对其中出现的四字格词语进行分类并总结其使用频率。在生态翻译学理论的指导下，作者对四字格词语英译进行研究，分析翻译生态环境对译者的影响以及译者对“三维转换”的适应性选择，从语言维、文化维、交际维三个角度对具体例子进行阐释，提炼归纳出五种翻译策略，分别是直译、意译、套译、增译和省略，期望能为日后译者传译此类文本提供参考。
