Exploration of British Values in the View of Travel Literature：Taking the Sketch Book and Notes from a Small Island as Examples_英语论文

摘要

英国政府推行在中小学中推行的英国价值观教育取得了瞩目的成就，在维护社会稳定、增强民族凝聚力方面发挥了巨大的作用。其公正、自由、平等、包容的核心价值观得到了社会各界的一致认可和接受。但英国价值观教育推行的价值观仍属于西方普世价值观的内涵，带有强烈的政治色彩，未凸显英国的民族特性。为了探讨西方普世价值观之外的，具有民族特性的英国价值观，本文试图从游记文学的角度侧重发掘英国人对待生活的价值观。

本文以斯沃茨人类基本价值观理论为理论基础，以文本分析为研究方法，试图从两本游记文学中提炼出英国人的价值观观点，并证明游记文学的社会学价值。文章首先阐述了价值观研究的历史背景和研究价值，其次通过研究文献说明游记文学具有丰富的社会学研究价值，并介绍了价值观理论的发展现状，重点介绍了斯沃茨人类基本价值观理论中的十一项基本价值观分类。文章主体部分是对华盛顿.欧文所著的《见闻札记》和比尔.布莱森的作品《小不列颠札记》两本游记文学的代表进行文本分析，提炼出英国人的价值观后，运用前述人类基本价值观理论对提炼出的观点进行归类分析，总结出英国人典型价值观。

本文不仅是对价值观理论成果的具体运用，也发掘了游记文学的社会学价值，是跨学科跨文化研究的一次尝试。
