Study on the Translating Strategies of the Love Letter of Jobs_英语论文

摘要

史蒂夫·乔布斯是美国苹果公司的创始人，前CEO，2011年逝世后经后人整理编纂成其个人自传《乔布斯传》。《乔布斯传》主要讲述其创立发展苹果公司的经历以及家庭生活，《乔布斯情书》属于家庭篇章，是乔布斯纪念结婚20周年写给妻子的一封情信。这封情书的汉译在国内互联网上引起了热议，互联网上各种版本的译文层出不穷。然而，怎样的翻译策略才适用于有着不同文化背景的读者？直译或意译？归化或异化？近几十年来这都是文学翻译研究中所争论的焦点。

本文以功能对等为理论依据，以内容分析和案例分析为研究方法，致力于研究乔布斯情书多版本汉译策略。文章首先阐述了奈达的功能对等理论在文学翻译的应用，强调了功能对等理论在文学翻译中的重要性。然后分析了几种译文所采用的翻译策略，其次从功能对等的角度谈这三种译文是否达到了功能对等的标准，然后在功能对等理论的视角下，分析阐述这三种译文的优点和缺点，评价其文学质量，最后为文学翻译中该如何选择使用合适翻译策略提出建议，例如对于不同行文风格上翻译策略的选用。
