摘要

爱德华·摩根·福斯特作为20世纪最伟大的小说家之一，在其小说《看得见风景的房间》中着力刻画了女主人公露西一角，尤其是对其内心的刻画，可以说整部小说就是露西自我意识觉醒的一个完整过程,而此过程恰是符合黑格尔关于人的自我意识形成与发展上的剖析，即基本而言，人的自我意识的完善要经历三个过程——单个自我意识、承认自我意识、全体自我意识。本文从黑格尔对人类自我意识发展进程理论出发,详细探讨了促使露西形成上述三种状态自我意 识的因素，论述了露西在自我意识形成的道路中所遇到和战胜的来自外界和内在的各方面困难，从而展现露西的无意识转化为女性自我意识的完整过程。
