摘要

新历史主义认为文学与历史之间并没有绝对的界线。本文拟从新历史主义视角出发，结合历史的文本性和文本的历史性进行研究，探讨《雾都孤儿》中童工问题的严峻，通过碎片化的童工遭遇，呈现官方竭力想隐瞒的那段历史，由此也展现了历史发展过程中文学的社会功效。
