摘要 

词缀型名词和动名型名词是动词化名词的两种形式，它们都是通过动词名词化实现的。动词词干，于其后增加派生词缀便构成词缀型名词，增加屈折词缀-ing则构成动名型名词。本论文旨在从认知的角度分析词缀型名词和动名型名词之间的诸多差异，并进行对比研究。本文介绍了动词名词化这一概念以及其在实现过程中的认知动因和机制，并根据其认知动因和机制分析了词缀型名词和动名型名词的不同语义特征，以此对这两类名词进行了详细的认知对比，认为其主要差异在于所表达意义的有界和无界之分,多义性和单义性之分,完全名词化和部分名词化之分。本文的研究有利于揭示语言结构的认知本质，帮助英语学习者更好地掌握语言规律。
