商务英语信函及合同中的被动语态的运用分析

摘要

随着商务经济往来的增多，人们需要更加快速便捷的方式来取得与顾客以及合作伙伴的联系，这也使得商务信函和商务合同的使用愈加频繁。其中，被动语态作为常用的语法功能被运用其中，前人单独对被动语态这一部分的研究较多，但鲜有对被动语态在商务信函和商务合同中的应用展开研究。本文将主要从被动语态在商务信函和合同中的应用进行论文布局和写作。

基于对韩礼德功能语法导论的理解，本文将从被动语态的语义功能、语篇功能和语用功能在商务信函和商务合同中的运用进行分析。商务英语信函的语言特点要求简洁明了、表达准确、用语礼貌等，而被动语态在商务信函中的运用正好体现了商务合同中的文本语言特点。通过对各种商务往来产生的商务英语信函及合同的深入分析，研究被动语态在其中的运用，包括被动语态的主要使用形式及其语言功能，旨在使商务英语信函的写作更加规范和准确。

ABSTRACT

With the increase of business interaction, people need more rapid and convenient approaches to get contact with their customers and business partners, which also contribute to the frequent use of business correspondences and business contracts. And, passive voice, as a common grammatical function, has been applied in these kinds of letters. The predecessors have done a large number of researches about the passive voice alone, but only few have studied the application of passive voice in business correspondences and business contracts. This paper will mainly focus on the layout and writing of the thesis from the application of passive voice in business letters and contracts.

Based on the understanding of the book named An Introduction to functional grammar written by Halliday, this essay will analyze the semantic function, textual function and pragmatic function of passive voice in business correspondences and business contracts. The language features of business English letters require conciseness, accuracy, and politeness. And the use of passive voice in business letters precisely embodies these features. Through the further analysis of business English letters and contracts generated by various business transaction, discuss the use of passive voice in it, including the main forms and functions of passive voice, aiming to make the writing of business English letters more standardized and accurate.
