摘要

《印度之行》是爱•摩•福斯特的代表作。从后殖民主义的角度细度文本，探索殖民者和被殖民者在交往过程中彼此之间的文化冲突。作为殖民者的菲尔丁想联结印度人却得不到回应；阿黛拉对印度肤浅的热情逐渐幻灭；莫尔夫人和印度人友好相处，却想在思想上统治印度。作为被殖民者的阿齐兹虽思想开明，但依然存在局限性；哥德博尔教授博学深受人们崇敬，却虚伪。作为殖民者的福斯特，总体上同情印度人，本质上依然轻视印度人。殖民主义背景下，统治取代了相互尊重文化差异。从后殖民主义角度解读《印度之行》，为当下 跨文化交流提供了启示。
