Advantages and Disadvantages of Documentary and Instrumental Translation in the Process of Political and Economic Texts Translation  

摘要

诺德应用功能论对现代翻译理论有着深远的影响，本文主要研究现代翻译理论中应用翻译功能论中的诺德翻译理论，通过对诺德应用功能论中记实翻译与工具翻译的对比与探讨，通过资料分析法、举例对比法进行探讨研究。通过对两种翻译方法的理论体系的梳理、对照分析以及在实际运用中的综合探求分析，得出在时文翻译中，记实翻译与工具翻译各有优缺点，但是对于政治文献更多适合采用记实翻译而经济文献更多采用工具翻译的结论。

Abstract

Nord’s theory in the area of functional translation has a great influence in translation area. The thesis is going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages about the progress of translation between documental translation and instrumental translation in political and economic texts translation. In the article, the author will discuss the issue by way of qualitative analysis. The author has references to some forms that he has expressed with illustration which can give the audience a straight idea to make conclusion that both documentary translation and instrumental translation have their own advantages and disadvantages in the progress of the political and economic practice, but the translator prefer more documentary translation in political texts and more instrumental translation in economic texts.
