Analyzing Alice Monroe’s Runaway from the perspective of postmodernism

摘要

艾丽斯门罗的作品《逃离》中以女性为主角，通过对一系列琐事：婚姻、家庭、生活琐事等，进行详细的描写，其情节散乱，而散乱的情节背后所描绘出的正式女性内心的矛盾性，对身边事物都存在的怀疑。本文从后现代主义的角度去解读门罗作品中写作手法的不连贯性、随意性，其内容中的反英雄主义、人性化以及其创作中视角的多元化、复杂性。

Abstract

Alice Monroe is a Canadian women writer who won the Nobel Prize for literature. In her short story, the main topic is about happiness, anger, sadness and joy. Her story concerned about women’s marriage, daily life, family chores and emotion. This paper analyzes Alice Monroe’s Runaway from the perspective of postmodernism and use the theory of postmodernism and postmodern literature to analyze the characters, the details and the structure of this story.
