摘要

语言是人类生活重要的组成部分，反映了生活、生产、社会习俗、宗教和一个特定群体的价值观。并且，语言也是一个国家很重要的文化遗产。习语是语言中一个重要的组成部分，同时也是语言的精华所在。没有习语的语言是无法想象的。因此学习和研究习语有助于了解一个国家的历史、文化、习俗、人类生产生活等各个方面，对于了解和掌握一门语言有着很重要的意义。本文将针对习语的定义、起源、习语所反映的不同文化，包括在翻译与跨文化交际中的体现，来探讨中西方的文化差异问题。

Abstract

Language is a very important component of human social life, which reflects the life, production, social customs, religion and the value of a certain nation. In addition, language is also the part of one nation’s cultural heritage. Things in material well-being life and spiritual well-being life can be reflected in the language, which we can say that language shows every aspect of mankind’s daily activities. To learn a language, in essence, is to learn the material culture and spiritual culture created by the nation that use the language. A language without idioms is unimaginable. Therefore, learning and researching idioms help us to understand all aspects of the country’s history, culture, customs, human production and life, and have a significant meaning to understand and master a language. This article will show the definition of idioms, the origin of idioms, which reflects the cultural differences, including the translation and intercultural communication.
