美国吸血鬼小说中女性形象研究-以《吸血鬼编年史》、《暮光之城》和《吸血鬼日记》为例_英语论文
Female Characters in American Vampire Novels: A Case Study of Vampire Chronicles, Twilight and Vampire Diaries
摘要
《吸血鬼编年史》、《暮光之城》和《吸血鬼日记》是三部20世纪的吸血鬼小说,作品中塑造了多个广为人知的女性吸血鬼形象。相较人类女性而言,吸血鬼女性因超自然能力而更具独立能力。本文以三部作品中的代表性女性吸血鬼人物为研究对象,通过剖析《吸血鬼日记》中的Katherine和Elena、《暮光之城》中的Bella和《吸血鬼编年史》中的吸血鬼女王Akasha的人物形象,展现女性吸血鬼所具备的经济、情感和社会地位方面的独立性,以此折射出现代女性追求独立性格特征的理想。

Abstract
Vampire Chronicles, Twilight and Vampire Diaries are three vampire novels in which there are many widely known female vampires. Compared with human females, female vampires are more independent due to their super power. This paper chooses representative female vampires in this three novels as research object. Through analyzing Elena and Katherine in Vampire Diaries, Bella in Twilight and Akasha in Vampire Chronicles, this paper shows the female vampires’ independence in economy, emotion and social status and reveals modern woman’s pursuit of independent personality.
