摘要

称呼语是人们在不同场合称呼对方的词语。称呼语也叫称谓语，称谓可以是一个人的名字，可以是一个人的头衔或职称。称呼语既是语言现象，也是社会、文化现象。在任何语言中，称呼语都扮演着重要的社交礼仪角色。由于文化背景不同,使用不同语言的人们在交流中经常会发生错误。有时即使语言正确，但交流时还是会产生语义偏差。为了能与外国人顺畅地交流，我们需要了解双方文化的差异。论文将从语言学角度对英汉语中的称呼语进行分类整理，分析对比英汉称呼语的差异，并对英汉称呼语产生差异的原因进行简要分析，探询其背后的文化因素，为减少日常社会交际或跨文化交际中的语用失误提供一定的帮助，促进我们的跨文化交际活动。
