A Comparative Study of English and Chinese Incentive Phrases in Sports —— Taking Incentive Phrases in Youth Olympic as Examples

摘 要

随着社会的发展与进步，体育事业在人类文明中的地位也越来越重要，而在各种各样的体育赛事中，体育激励语在营造良好竞技氛围，提高运动员心理素质，以及增强比赛看点中，发挥着不可或缺的作用。本文以青奥会等赛事中的体育激励语为例，在相关研究的基础上，采用语料分析法和文献法对本课题进行定性研究，从英汉体育激励语的适用场合和使用频率两方面，探讨英汉体育激励语的特点。

Abstract

With the development and progress of society, the position of sports causes in human civilization is becoming more and more important. However, during all kinds of sports events, incentive phrases play an indispensable role in making a favorable competitive atmosphere, enhancing athletic psychological diathesis, and improving the game’s attractiveness. This paper will take incentive phrases in Youth Olympic as examples. It will give a qualitative analysis based on the relevant studies. It will use the method of corpus analysis and document analysis to discuss the features of English and Chinese incentive phrases from the occasions and frequency of using incentive phrases.
