英汉委婉语浅析-相似与差异_英语论文

摘要

委婉语是一种语言现象，是人们在一定的场合用来交际的一种重要的手段，通常情况人们尽量不使用让对方不愉快或者会破坏双方关系的语言，而是用一种迂回曲折的语言来交流。委婉语是存在于各种文化的一种表达方式。委婉语是各个国家、各个时代都会用到的一种表达手段，同时委婉语也跟随时代的进步而不断地发展着。委婉语的言语表达是传统委婉语中主要研究的对象，现代委婉语的研究也包括非言语委婉语表达。本文从四个方面来对比英汉委婉语，指出了二者的差异。

Abstract

Euphemism is an expression method adopted by all of the countries in all eras, developing continuously with the progress of human society. High development of modern civilization, along with the felt need of social networks accordingly has been driving the development of euphemism. Euphemism is a kind of expression that exists in every culture. Verbal expression is always researched in the traditional study of Euphemism. But our study of Euphemism should also include nonverbal expressions. The author makes a comparative study of English and Chinese euphemism in four parts, pointing out their differences and convergence.
