安吉拉·卡特是20世纪最具独创性、蜚声文坛的女性作家之一。《魔幻玩具铺》是安吉拉·卡特的第二本小说，讲述了一个关于成长、生活和爱的故事。在这本书中，卡特将焦点置于女性对自己肉体的最初觉醒上，并以此为开端，描述了一个女孩由首次经历情欲与邪恶，而后又历经种种情感历练的心理成长故事。在这个故事中，卡特的女权主义思想表现得淋漓尽致。

Abstract

 Angela Carter is one of the most famous female writers with originality in the field of literature in the twentieth century. As Carter’s second novel, The Magic Toyshop tells a story about growth, life and love. Angela Carter took female’s awakening of gender identity as its focus as well as the beginning of the story. It depicts a girl’s first experience of sexual desire, evil and the psychological complications arising therefrom during her growing process. Angela Carter’s support for feminism has been brought into light through this novel.
