摘要

美国语言学家格莱斯的合作原则指出，在一个成功的交际中，双方遵循着一定的交际原则，从而达到交流目的。并提出了四项原则，即数量、质量、方式和关系原则。本文基于此，以《爱玛》中的部分经典对话为对象。通过分析小说中贝茨小姐在对话中违背合作原则，进一步理解其隐藏的深层含义，从而更好解析贝茨小姐人物性格特征，以及作品相关含义。
