摘要

在经济全球化和多元化的今天，越来越多的英文电影及电视剧走进了我们的生活，这就促使了字幕翻译的发展与进步，然而在互联网这个大条件下，我国的字幕翻译还存在许多问题。本文旨在对字幕翻译现状认识了解的情况下，以美剧《米勒一家》为切入点，分析字幕翻译的特点及可能存在的问题，总结得出能够帮助字幕翻译的策略。

本论文着重于讨论有关字幕翻译的策略，以及用了当下流行的美剧《米勒一家》来进行讲解分析。论文总共有六个章节。第一部分为引言，由四个部分组成。在本章中作者将会先提供一些背景资料，比如字幕翻译的相关研究和作品。接着会向大家介绍当前字幕翻译研究的现状以及字幕翻译的重要性。在最后一部分中，会阐述选择《米勒一家》作为例子的原因。 第二章则会给出字幕以及字幕翻译的定义，也会阐述一些字幕翻译的类型。第三章将会讨论字，字幕翻译的特点，而第四章则会侧重讲述字幕翻译中所存在的一些问题。第五章是本文主体部分，在这一章里会引用《米勒一家》 实例来帮助阐述一些行之有效的字幕翻译策略。然后是总结，在这部分将会对整个问题进行深入思考。

Abstract

Globalization and cultural diversity have speeding up the development and progress of subtitle translation. A growing number of English movies and TV series have been into our lives. However, it still exits many problems of the subtitle translation in our country on the Internet. This essay aims at bringing forward some strategies that may help people translate the subtitle by analyzing the characteristics and probable problems of subtitle translation with The Millers under the situation in which people had known about current situation of subtitle translation.

The essay focus on discussing the subtitle translation strategies and use the popular American TV series The Millers to illustrate. There are six chapters of this essay. Chapter one is the introduction, it contains four parts. In this chapter, the author will provide some background information at first like the relative studies of subtitle translation. Then it will introduce the current situation and significance of subtitle translation. In the last part, it will tell the reasons why chose The Millers. Chapter two will give definitions to subtitle and subtitle translation and mention some types of subtitle translation. While chapter three will discuss the characteristics of subtitle translation, chapter 4 refers to problems exist in subtitle translation. Chapter five is the most important part which presents some useful strategies of subtitle translation and use the examples from The Millers to help better explain it. And it has further consideration in the conclusion part.

All in all, the purpose of the essay is to attract more attention to subtitle translation and to provide materials for those who want to know about subtitle translation and to offer some advice for people who expect to improve their abilities of subtitle translation.
