Helping Students Develop Their Learning Strategies in Senior High School ELT

摘要

在高中英语教学过程中,教师的重要任务之一便是要让学生发展自己的学习策略。学习策略就是学习者为了提高学习的效果和效率,有目地和有意识地制定相关学习过程的复杂方案。然而想让学生真正掌握学习策略却很困难。原因在于,在当下高中教学过程中还存在着很多问题,比如传统英语教学对于发展学生学习策略的忽视,应试教育的教条性和死板性使得教师过于注重让学生学习知识而不是掌握学习策略,或者是影响学习策略因素的多样性多使教师难以培养学生发展学习策略。因此,本文从学习策略分类入手,分析了影响选择学习策略的因素,说明了学习策略的高效性,阐述了当下高中学生英语学习使用的现状和问题,表现出高中英语教学中学习策略的重要性及论述如何培养和发展高中学生英语学习策略。

Abstract

In senior high school English language teaching process, one of the important tasks of teachers is to help students develop their learning strategies. The definition of learning strategy is that learners will make an instruction during learning with purpose and consciousness, for improving efficiency and effectiveness of leaning. However, it is difficult for students to truly master learning strategies. The reasons lie in many aspects: Nowadays there are many problems remaining in senior high English teaching. For example, in traditional English language teaching, teachers usually ignore the need of developing learning strategies, and teachers emphasize more on teaching knowledge rather than learning strategies because of the doctrinal and rigid rules of examination- oriented education system, or teachers find it difficult for students to develop learning strategies on account of variety of factors that will have an effect on them. Thus, this thesis starts from classification of learning strategies, and analyses factors that influence the choice of learning strategies. It explains the effectiveness of learning strategies and tells the present condition and problems of English learning in senior high school. It shows the importance of developing learning strategies in English teaching in senior high and the way to develop it.
