英式英语和美式英语的对比研究

A Contrastive Study on British English and American English

摘要

语言是重要的文化载体，承载着文化的方方面面。作为英语的重要变体的美式英语，在其产生、发展和演进的历史中形成了自身特有的语言文化特点。

英式英语和美式英语都得到了很大的发展，它们之间的区别也在不断的变化中。虽然二者之间的差别不是很大，并且并未使学习这两类英语的人们之间达到不了解的程度，但使英语知识不太丰富的学习者经常感到困惑，给他们的阅读理解、听力、语言交流、写作等方面带来很大的障碍。本文通过典型的例证，分析了英语在语音、词汇、拼写、语法和习惯用法等方面的区别，旨在帮助英语学习者提高排除这方面的障碍的能力。

Abstract

Language is the carrier of the culture, which nourishes every aspect our life. As the most important variant of the English, American English has formed its individual features on the history of creation, development and process. British English and American English are both get significant improvement, also their differences. Although the difference is not too big to lead misunderstanding, but those English learners whose English knowledges are not abundant may feel confused because of these obstacles which include reading, listening, writing and so on. This paper offers a contrastive study of the two varieties with typical examples, in order to improve the learners’ abilities of overcome these difficulties.
