学前英语教师的专业发展_英语论文

On the Professional Development of Preschool English Teachers

摘要

随着全世界各国之间文化和商业的交流越来越频繁,英语,作为最主要的世界通用语之一,越来越多的人表现出对于它的学习需求。的确,作为一个生活在二十一世纪的人来说,英语已不单单是一门学科,更重要的是它作为交流工具的功能。因此,英语学习低龄化的趋势已逐渐突现。学习英语已不仅仅是在校小学或者中学生的任务,如今学龄前儿童的英语学习也在进行之中。家长和老师都希望让孩子别输在起跑线上。然而,如今大量优秀有经验的英语教师都工作在中小学的岗位上,现在社会缺乏专业的学前英语教师。

这篇论文通过分析当前英语学习低龄化的需求,学龄前儿童的英语学习情况以及学前英语教师的专业素质,论述如何促进学前英语教师的发展。当前学前英语教师多是由幼师团队组成,而这个团队中的教师多是着重于自身幼教知识的发展,而忽略了英语知识的积累和专业性。因此,本篇论文主要包括两个方面的论述:学前教育专业发展以及英语知识的发展。专业发展包括论述教师所需的教育理论和教学工具,如教学方法等。英语知识则从教师自身的英语专业知识和英语教学两方面来谈。学前英语教师的发展应同时具体这两方面的知识,而非仅仅涉及其中一面。通过对这两方面的论述,希望能对当前学前英语教师队伍中所存在的问题有所改善,从而提高学前英语教师专业素质的能力。

Abstract

With cultural and commercial communication becoming more and more close among different countries around the world, English, as one of the official languages, is necessary for people to learn. For people who live in twenty-first century, English is far more than a subject to learn, but a tool for communicating in their daily life. As a  result, the age of people to learn English is becoming younger and younger. English study is not just the business of students in middle school or primary school, but also for children in preschools. Both parents and teachers expect children to learn English. However, as a majority of English teachers who are excellent and expert have been working in middle school, professional English teachers are needed in preschools nowadays. 

By analyzing demand of English learning for preschool children, present situation of English learning among preschool students, and present situation of  professional competence among preschool teachers, this thesis discusses how to develop teachers’ competence. Nowadays, preschool English teachers are composed of preschool teachers with knowledge to take care of students, but for lack of English specialized knowledge. This thesis discusses this problem from two parts, one of which is about their professional competence and another talking about their language competence. By presenting these two parts, the aim is to help teachers out of their present problems and improve their professional competence.
