英语反语的识别及其语用功能

摘要

英语反语在日常生活中十分常见，在文学作品中也多运用。古往今来，学者们对反语进行了多方面的研究。反语的意思是说反话,换言之，反语的表面含义和真实含义是完全相反的。英语反语的存在具备一定的要求。可分为三类：词语反语、情景反语、戏剧性反语。英语反语有不同的语用功能，它能产生幽默效果，能用来讽刺，也具有礼貌的功能。本文选取英语反语作为研究主题，探究它的识别和语用功能，增强英语的学习和鉴赏能力。

Abstract

English irony is very common in daily life and it is widely used in literal works. From time immemorial there are many scholars studying it from many perspectives. Irony means saying the opposite words, in other words, the literal meaning and the true meaning of irony are opposite. Irony can be divided into three types: verbal irony, situational irony and dramatic irony. English irony has different pragmatic functions. It can create humor effect, be used to satirize, and produce politeness effect. The subject of this thesis is English irony, and this study focuses on the recognition and pragmatic functions of irony. It aims to enhance the ability of learning and appreciating English.
