母语在外语教学中的作用_英语论文
The Role of Mother Tongue in Foreign Language Teaching
摘要
学习迁移指的是人们已有的知识和经验在新的学习环境中发挥作用的心理过程。在语言学领域,母语在外语教学过程中发挥怎样的作用是语言迁移的核心问题。因母语和外语的共性引起的迁移称之为‘正迁移’,而学习者将母语不恰当地运用到目的语中称之为‘负迁移’。正因母语正负迁移,关于母语在外语教学中的作用也有两种不同的观点:依赖或排斥。那么是否应该在外语教学中使用母语呢?本文将从迁移理论着手,分析母语对外语教学的正面影响和负面影响,并就此两方面的影响,分析其对外语教学有何启示。

Abstract
The role of mother tongue in foreign language teaching has always been a controversial topic in the field of foreign language study, for the reason that the language transfer exists. Language transfer can be classified into two categories: positive transfer and negative transfer. The former which is triggered by the identical elements between two kinds of language will promote the foreign language learning, and the later will interfere. Whether should teachers use mother tongue in foreign language teaching or not? This paper first introduces the transfer theory, and then analyzes the positive role and negative role of mother tongue in foreign language teaching, and finally discusses the pedagogical implications.
