《了不起的盖茨比》是F.S.菲茨杰拉德最伟大的作品之一,被认为是反映美国爵士时代的文学象征。女性角色在这部作品中非常重要,她们在烘托作品主题中起着至关重要的作用。在《了不起的盖茨比》中,女性角色都以悲剧的命运收场。女性的悲剧命运是由她们的社会地位造成的。本文结合当时的时代背景,着重分析了《不起的盖茨比》中女性角色的社会地位和她们悲剧命运之间的联系。

Abstract
The Great Gatsby, published in 1925, is one of the most famous masterpieces of the American author Francis Scott Fitzgerald and is considered as a symbol of American literature in the “Jazz Age”. The women characters are very important in this work, and they play a significant role in reflecting the theme of the novel. Almost all the main women characters in The Great Gatsby are the tragic victims of their social status. In this paper, I turn to analyze the connection between their tragic destiny and their social status in Jazz Age.
