摘要

《兔子归来》是约翰·厄普代克的兔子系列小说的第二本，主要描述了1969年主人公兔子一家发生的重大事件。这部小说背景为美国十九世纪六十年代，书中的许多事件都影射了美国当时社会问题。本文则将中心放在了书中所提及的美国非裔黑人民权运动。结合文中黑人斯基特的言行和兔子所代表的白人对黑人的态度，本文将集中研究黑人民权运动中黑人内部的缘起党派和内讧，并总结黑人民权运动中激进派的政治主张及其历史意义。

Abstract

This paper focuses on the research of radicalism in American Civil Rights Movement. Rabbit Redux is second book of the Rabbit series written by John Updike, mainly described Harry’s life experience in 1969. This novel’s background was based on real life in 1960s, so many events in this book reflected realistic problems. Combining with black people Skeeter’s words and deeds, this paper will summarize radical political views and its historical significance.
