On Chinese Translation of Argots in Dan Brown’s Mystery Novels

摘要

在翻译过程中，信息从源文本转换到了目标文本，经历了从一种文学系统到另一种文学系统的旅行。特别是推理小说中对作为破案的关键线索的暗语的翻译，译文要做到既保留其所隐藏的信息，又能让目标读者从细节中享受到推理的乐趣，获得阅读文学作品的审美体验。译者美学理念的修养、翻译思维的运用、翻译方法的把握对这种审美体验的传达有着至关重要的作用。

Abstract

Dan Brown’s novels have caused great sensation in China, the acceptance of a translated version results to a significant extent from the working together of the translator’s aesthetic conception and the various modes of translation thinking progresses. Both the aesthetic peculiarity of the literary text and its re-contextualization in the translation require that the translator, while taking into serious account the target reader’s receiving capacity, employ his aesthetic ideals and his thinking about translation in a comprehensive way, so as to maintain a harmonious aesthetic distance and to guarantee that the similarity between the source and the target text be enhanced to the best of our ability.
