摘要

本文从介绍误译的分类入手，介绍了翻译领域的一些研究，并且把误译分成技术性误译与文化性误译。接下来本文从这两个方面讨论了引起误译的主要原因，并着重讨论文化性误译，指出由于缺乏跨文化意识引起的一些错误以及产生的不好的影响。最后从文化和非文化两个方面试探性的提出几个解决该问题的方法，并希望随着跨文化知识的提高能够在翻译过程中尽可能的减少或避免误译的发生。

Abstract

This paper begins with the categories of mistranslation and discusses the studies in the domain. Mistranslation in the study is divided into two categories: technical mistranslation and cultural mistranslation. Moreover, on the basis of such division, the types of mistranslation causes are examined, with an emphasis on the latter (cultural mistranslation). Then the paper further points out cultural blunders in translation and its negative effects because of lacking in cross-cultural awareness. At the end of the writing, the paper puts forward possible solutions to handle mistranslations from cultural and non-cultural aspects. It is hoped that such mistranslation could be reduced, and even eliminated in the further translation practices with the enhancement of intercultural knowledge.
