A Comparative Study of the Development of Hotel,Motel and Hostel in China

摘要

近几年，高档酒店、经济型酒店和青年旅社作为三种主要的酒店类型，在中国的酒店业中扮演着不同的角色，但都至关重要。高档酒店和经济型酒店较之青年旅社有着相对成熟的管理系统，并各自凭借着优势稳健地发展着。高档酒店长久以来占据主要市场，而经济型酒店已成为其最大的竞争对手。作为新兴酒店类型的青年旅社虽然才刚刚起步且发展缓慢，但逐渐地受到越来越多人的关注，尤其是青年学生们。因此，对比研究这三种类型的酒店各自的长处和短处，以及如何正确处理他们发展中的一系列问题使其拥有更长远健康的发展成了我们迫切需要解决的问题，从而有效地解决酒店业的潜在危机，为中国酒店业的发展创造更好的未来。

Abstract

In recent years, hotel, motel and hostel have played different but important roles in China’s hotel industry. Hotel and motel with relatively mature management system have taken up most current market shares, growing with steady and firm steps relying on their advantages. Though hostel is still in the start-up phase with slow increasing, it is gradually paid more and more attention by the public, especially young students. Their strengthens and weaknesses differ from each other in fields of environmental construction, services and others but are all deeply related to the development of the whole hotel industry in China. To find efficient solutions to their potential crisis and the key to successful construction and management, comparative analysis of these three hotels in details is necessary and significant for us to do further researches.
